Peter Sparacino is a freelance saxophone and woodwind player in the Bay Area.

He first took up the clarinet at the age 9 and studied intensely, playing in many youth orchestras around the Bay Area.  However exposure to the saxophone and jazz during his high school years led to a new focus and after high school, where he played in many honor groups including the California All-State Band.

He entered the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelors in Music.  In Indiana he freelanced extensively with local and touring acts as well as playing with salsa bands, brass bands, rock groups, chamber groups, jazz combos and pit orchestras in the greater Midwest.

After college and a 6 month stint working as a musician for Princess Cruises in the Caribbean, he has returned to the Bay Area where he has begun to establish himself in the music community.

In the Bay Area, he has appeared at such venues as Pearl's Jazz Club, Montero's, Cafe Cocomo, Club Deluxe among others with such groups as the Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, The Fil Lorenz Collective West Jazz Orchestra, Stymie and Black Sci-Fi, Cubanacan, Mazacote and his own combos to name a few.
