For a period of 30 days (one month) for a flat rate of $25.00 per item due on the date of the initial consignment.  At the end of this initial 30 days the owner within 3 business days must either a) pay an additional $20 per item for the next thirty days or b) remove the item from the store.  If the owner fails to remove the item(s) the monthly consignment charge(s) will continue to accrue and must be paid in full before we will release the item(s).  In the event the owner fails to pay outstanding consignment fees for a 120 day period or the fees due exceed the items minimum selling price that item will become the property of The Good Stuff Guitar Shop. 

Sale of items: 

1)       if the buyer pays The Good Stuff Guitar Shop for the merchandise then all applicable taxes shall be collected at the time of sale.  We will pay the owner (usually by check) for the sale price, less outstanding fees due for the item sold and other consignment items still in the store.

2)       if The Good Stuff Guitar Shop acts as a broker and doesn’t receive payment for the goods then the owner is responsible for applicable taxes.   The owner and buyer must arrange and complete their transaction privately.  If we don’t collect payment then the owner must be present to deliver the merchandise to the buyer.

The Good Stuff will treat your instrument like one of our own.  That said – you should anticipate that the item may experience minor wear and tear consistent with normal handling and display.  Instruments and especially cases may get grime, dust, minor scratches, dings, etc.  Electronic items may have these issues as well as additional problems such as scratchy pots, tubes, power supplies, etc.  Unless we are grossly negligent The Good Stuff is not responsible for this type of wear and tear.  We recommend that collector’s pieces and exceptionally pristine instruments be sold privately by the owner to avoid any type of disputes.  In the event of a dispute both parties agree in advance to settle thru mediation/arbitration vs. suing each other.

Owner warrants they are the rightful owner of all merchandise they provide us.  A photocopy of the owners driver license or other equivalent photo ID will be kept along with this agreement.  We will notify local police of all consigned items to help deter stolen instruments.  Owner must provide adequate confirmation for us to reach them quickly:
